The Peace Palace is the seat of the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the Hague Academy of International Law. The visitor center has a permanent exhibition about the history of the peace movement. In front of the building there is a monument with the eternal flame of peace and the inscription: "May all beings find peace".

Der Friedenspalast ist Sitz des Internationalen Gerichtshofs, des Ständigen Schiedshofs und der Haager Akademie für Völkerrecht. Im Besucherzentrum gibt es eine Dauerausstellung über die Geschichte der Friedensbewegung. Vor dem Gebäude befindet sich ein Denkmal mit der ewigen Flamme des Friedens und der Inschrift: „Mögen alle Wesen Frieden finden“.
