1871-1919, was a Polish-Russian representative of the European workers' movement, Marxism and antimilitarism. From 1898 she worked in the German social democracy and from the beginning fought against nationalism and opportunism (adaptation to the current situation for utilitarian reasons). She advocated mass strikes as a means of socio-political change and to prevent war. Immediately after the start of World War I in 1914 she founded the "International Group" and later, together with Karl Liebknecht, the Spartacus League, a Germany-wide, non-partisan organization with the goal of disempowering the military and creating a German Republic of Councils (organizes voters in basic units, e.g. the residents of a village or residential area, the workers of a company, etc., directly send councils as public functionaries). At the beginning of 1919, she co-founded the Communist Party of Germany, which accepted her program but refused to allow her to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections. 1871-1919, war eine polnisch-russische Vertreterin der europäischen Arbeiterbewegung, des Marxismus und des Antimilitarismus. Ab 1898 wirkte sie in der deutschen Sozialdemokratie und bekämpfte von Anfang an Nationalismus und Opportunismus (Anpassung an die jeweilige Lage aus Nützlichkeitserwägungen). Sie trat für Massenstreiks als Mittel sozialpolitischer Veränderungen und zur Kriegsverhinderung ein. Sofort nach Beginn des Ersten Weltkrieges 1914 gründete sie die „Gruppe Internationale“ und später gemeinsam mit Karl Liebknecht den Spartakusbund, eine deutschlandweite, parteiunabhängige Organisation mit dem Ziel der Entmachtung des Militärs und einer gesamtdeutschen Räterepublik (organisiert die Wähler in Basiseinheiten, z.B. die Bewohner eines Dorfes bzw. Wohnviertels, die Arbeiter eines Betriebes usw, entsenden direkt Räte als öffentliche Funktionsträger). Anfang 1919 gründete sie die Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands mit, die zwar ihr Programm annahm, aber ihre Teilnahme an den bevorstehenden Parlamentswahlen ablehnte. Der darauf folgende Spartakusaufstand wurde niedergeschlagen, sie und Karl Liebknecht in Berlin ermordet. 2021, 139x153cm
